MASC Care Home community

Welcome to the MASC Care Home community group initiative, aimed at promoting an inclusive and age-friendly society in Nigeria. Our mission is to foster a sense of community and belonging for seniors, while also promoting positive attitudes towards aging and combating ageism.

As our population ages, it is crucial that we take steps to ensure that older adults are able to maintain their independence and live fulfilling lives. By creating a community group that is dedicated to supporting seniors, we hope to provide a platform for older adults to connect with one another and to receive the support and resources they need to thrive.

Our community group will offer a variety of services and programs designed to meet the needs of older adults. These may include social events, educational seminars, health and wellness programs, volunteer opportunities, and more. We will also work to advocate for policies and practices that support seniors and promote their inclusion in all aspects of society.

We believe that our MASC community group can make a real difference in the lives of older adults in Nigeria. By bringing people together, we can create a more vibrant, inclusive, and age-friendly community for everyone. We welcome all interested individuals, corporate and governmental bodies to join us in this effort and to help us build a better future for seniors in Nigeria.

Nollywood Contributions

We are grateful for the works of Director Funmilayo Omikunle of Nollywood, in bringing the case of Elderly Care advocacy to the grass roots. Together with her team of Nollywood actors and crew, they created this Yoruba film, titled Ayeku and subtitled in English.

This is a highly recommended family movie, a perfect christmas movie for Nigerians in diaspora, highlighting the need for parental care and community support.
